This is Trish, Dave and Christina Habberjam’s blog. We post about our lives to keep in touch across the miles. Sometimes we post daily, sometimes we post monthly. But we always come back at some point. Perhaps if you leave comments at the end of our entries, we’ll be enticed to write more often?

Don’t be afraid to get in touch with us, either. We love email and we’ve met some New Zealand Habberjams through this website already. We’d love to meet others (or Ormerods, for that matter, as my mother was one before marriage, and still is by blood).

Spelling variations include: Habercham, Habersham, Haberjiam, Haberiam, Habberiam and many more. First found in Lancashire where they were anciently seated as Lords of the Manor. Some of the first settlers of this name or some of its variants were: settlers who were recorded from the mid 17th century in the great migration from Europe. Migrants settled in the eastern seaboard from Newfoundland, to Maine, to Virginia, the Carolinas, and to the islands.”
