We have been decorating for what seems like ages but is in fact only a week. Dave has built me shelves for TV and books on the wall where the radiator is (only solution was to build our own). We have also removed the window in what was the outside wall before this extension was built on in the 60’s. In the hole left by the window, Dave is buillding more book shelves – yes, I could start a library!

The colour is pale green (mint) and, being a Debbie Travis fan, I am doing a colour wash in a slightly darker shade. The effect is very subtle but gives the wall just a hint of texture. Anyway, when it is done it should look clean and calm. However, I have already spied a spider making its way across the newly painted ceiling! These guys never give up!!!!

Tomorrow we go up to Dumfries, Scotland to Dave’s father’s family. One of Dave’s nieces is having a wedding on Fri. and we are staying with Dave’s brother, Gorden. On Sat. we are staying at my Mum’s and then coming back down here on Sun. with Mum and Dad.
